About Me

My photo
Carlisle, Pennsylvania
I am a stay at home mom..now that is! February 19th, 2007 I was involved in a car accident while on vacation in Florida. I awoke in ICU to find out that my only two children Annemarie age 3 and Michael age 5 did not make it. Scrapbooking became such a big part of my life. It helped fill a void that I desperately needed to fill. Our therapist suggested that I take up scrapbooking as a way to memorialize my children, little did she know! So I took that and ran with it.I became obsessed with scrapping and took over the second largest room in my house. Because of my injuries I couldn't go out and get a job, I just scrapped!I printed out 2,000 photos and my journey began. I have made albums for family members and layouts to decorate my craft room. We thought we were done having kids but who expected this tragedy??? I just gave birth in June 2009 to two beautiful baby girls Mia Anne and Gianna Marie named after their brother and sister.I swore that I would keep up with their albums so I won't become overwhelmed so we will see how that works out! My profile picture is the last family picture that was taken of all of us.

Market Street & Frosted Designs Card challenge

This card makes me laugh because it started out as a Post-It note holder in a cute decorative box. When that failed I moved onto a 3X3 note card box and when I didn't like that I ended up with a card!!! Talk about looking nothing like what you started with! I designed this card to fit into two challenges.

First over at Market Street Stamps they are having another great Color Cue Challenge this week. We were challenged to use Orange, Yellow and Blue. And over at Frosted Designs they are having a fun filled week of challenged every hour or so. I keep on missing the Hour long scrapbook LO challenges (since I just found out about it) so I am going to try to get the most in as possible. It is fun to challenge yourself. So I decided to start with their circle challenge. I took the colors from the Market Street Stamps Color Cue #2 challenge as the basis of my card and the theme of Circles fromFrosted Designs. All Card stock and ribbon is from PaperTrey Ink.

First I stamped the background (yellow cardstock) with the spankin' new stamp just released from Market Street Stamps called Sweet Lace. Then I cut out several scalloped circles with my Nesties as well as different sized paper punches and stamped them with another new release by Market Street called Punched Tin. The inks I used were by Stampin Up and to distress the edges I used Tim Holtz Vintage Photo. The stamped images are comprised of a gazillion circles but to add more I hand drew some with a white gel pen, added a circle brad and some colored bling stones.

Well I hope all you ladies are enjoying your day. I did get roses but my day is like every other day since Hubby is working. I am off to do what I would like to be doing anyway....scrapping!! I am gonna try to see how many challenges I can get done today!
