About Me

My photo
Carlisle, Pennsylvania
I am a stay at home mom..now that is! February 19th, 2007 I was involved in a car accident while on vacation in Florida. I awoke in ICU to find out that my only two children Annemarie age 3 and Michael age 5 did not make it. Scrapbooking became such a big part of my life. It helped fill a void that I desperately needed to fill. Our therapist suggested that I take up scrapbooking as a way to memorialize my children, little did she know! So I took that and ran with it.I became obsessed with scrapping and took over the second largest room in my house. Because of my injuries I couldn't go out and get a job, I just scrapped!I printed out 2,000 photos and my journey began. I have made albums for family members and layouts to decorate my craft room. We thought we were done having kids but who expected this tragedy??? I just gave birth in June 2009 to two beautiful baby girls Mia Anne and Gianna Marie named after their brother and sister.I swore that I would keep up with their albums so I won't become overwhelmed so we will see how that works out! My profile picture is the last family picture that was taken of all of us.

A Very Peachy Sketch

I don't know about where you all live but yesterday it was almost 80 degrees and beautiful (here in PA). Well today it is flippin' cold out, only about 40 degrees and its rainy and very dreary. Perfect day for crafting!!I just wish that Mother Nature would make up her mind!!

This week over at Peachy Keen Stamps there is such a great sketch. This has to be one of my favorite sketches because it has so many possibilities. I was gonna try to do one with watermelon and one for the 4th of July but I ran out of time.

Here is the sketch: And here are my two takes on it:

For the Thinking of You card I used the flowers from PK-286 Easter Patch and the Sentiment is from PK-284 Spring Bouquet . I used Copics, Stampin Up! Markers and Stickles to color in the flowers. For my adorable little Space Boy I used PK-643 Boy Mates 1-1/8" . He is rather large. I think I cut up out from the Everyday Paperdoll cartridge at 5". For the moon sand I just used my CTMH wavy cutter and stamped it with the new PK-150 Accessories ONE Assortment for the circles using one of the stamps that were supposed to be a pair of eye glasses. The sentiment is from Market Street Stamps BLAST OFF set. I had a package of clips on my desk that had pretty cardboard backing in it so I literally just stamped it on that..talk about being resourceful (I hate throwing things out!!) .

I hope to see your take on the awesome sketch. Remember you have two weeks to play along with this great challenge and to get a chance to win some awesome prizes!
