About Me

My photo
Carlisle, Pennsylvania
I am a stay at home mom..now that is! February 19th, 2007 I was involved in a car accident while on vacation in Florida. I awoke in ICU to find out that my only two children Annemarie age 3 and Michael age 5 did not make it. Scrapbooking became such a big part of my life. It helped fill a void that I desperately needed to fill. Our therapist suggested that I take up scrapbooking as a way to memorialize my children, little did she know! So I took that and ran with it.I became obsessed with scrapping and took over the second largest room in my house. Because of my injuries I couldn't go out and get a job, I just scrapped!I printed out 2,000 photos and my journey began. I have made albums for family members and layouts to decorate my craft room. We thought we were done having kids but who expected this tragedy??? I just gave birth in June 2009 to two beautiful baby girls Mia Anne and Gianna Marie named after their brother and sister.I swore that I would keep up with their albums so I won't become overwhelmed so we will see how that works out! My profile picture is the last family picture that was taken of all of us.

Getting Sassy With Market Street Stamps

Okay I am soooooooooo in love with the new Market Street Stamps Zebra background stamp. I also got the new music note background stamp which is totally a MUST have. I ordered once 2 packages of DP just because I wanted the music printed paper that was in the assortment. Now I can make as much as I want. One of the things I love the most about Market Street Stamps is the size. They are so wonderfully huge you don't have to worry about trying to make the pattern match like some of the other stamps.

I recently purchased a Zebra print organizer for my desk. I am, well lets just say not gifted in the organization department. My husband recently told me that he need to build Monkey Bars just so I can get to my craft desk. So I decided to make some fun stuff to help me get organized. I wanted to keep it simple because it was going to be in a high traffic area (nice word for in the mist of a cluttered, chaotic mess of a desk). I made two of these caddys and used my Scor-tape to hold them together. I then took some Linen cardstock from PaperTrey Ink and embossed the Zebra print background stamp with black embossing powder. After I did that, I used two layers of Ultra Thick Embossing powder and that really changed it up a bit. Lined that with colored card stock.

Now I will say that I decided to use a hot glue gun to adhere the zebra print to the cardstock and the heat of the glue kinda made the embossing powder on the other side melt even though I did it the day before. So if I were you be very light with the glue gun or even better don't use it at all if you use UTEE or embossing powder. For the flower I used some scrap cardstock and stamped the Zebra print in Stampin! UP' Dusty Durango and inked up the edges.

This caddy holds all my Market Street Stamps perfectly. And it is all made out of paper! Beat the $30 I spent on the organizer I bought! On the other side I put some liquids, tools and tapes etc. I gotta say I love it. It looks so much better in person..sorry I just couldn't capture the pictures right. I am gonna make some more of these and fill them with cards, gifts etc...cause I am going WILD with my Zebra stamp...I just love it to bits!! You will not be disappointed I will tell you that!!
