About Me

My photo
Carlisle, Pennsylvania
I am a stay at home mom..now that is! February 19th, 2007 I was involved in a car accident while on vacation in Florida. I awoke in ICU to find out that my only two children Annemarie age 3 and Michael age 5 did not make it. Scrapbooking became such a big part of my life. It helped fill a void that I desperately needed to fill. Our therapist suggested that I take up scrapbooking as a way to memorialize my children, little did she know! So I took that and ran with it.I became obsessed with scrapping and took over the second largest room in my house. Because of my injuries I couldn't go out and get a job, I just scrapped!I printed out 2,000 photos and my journey began. I have made albums for family members and layouts to decorate my craft room. We thought we were done having kids but who expected this tragedy??? I just gave birth in June 2009 to two beautiful baby girls Mia Anne and Gianna Marie named after their brother and sister.I swore that I would keep up with their albums so I won't become overwhelmed so we will see how that works out! My profile picture is the last family picture that was taken of all of us.

New Challenge over at the Sisterhood & a quick card

Hello Everyone! I say that with as much cheer as I can muster up after an especially grueling session of Boot Camp. Ugghh makes you think twice about eating junk food. There is a great new challenge over at The Sisterhood of Crafters and you get a chance to win some great prizes. The challenge this week is to make an Easter related project which is easy peazy because of the timing. One lucky winner will be elgible to win a great prize from AmberInk. After the week I had I didn't get my card done in time unfortunately but there is some great eye candy from our new Guest Designer Team as well as our Sisters so make sure to stop on by.

I also wanted to share with you this super quick and easy card I made from scraps and things in my arms reach the other day. I was making a card for the Market Street Stamps Color Cue challenge and had some leftover scraps so I decided to make a quick card with them. I also found a die cut that I had stamped for a previous card and it fit the colors perfectly so I used that to mat my butterflies. I stamped the cardstock with Vintage Wallpaper first as well as the butterflies. For the die cut I used Perfectly Pretty Grid to jazz it up a bit. I didn't put a sentiment on it because I wanted to add some cards to my stash that can be used for anything and this card fit the bill. It's simple but the stamps make it looks so pretty! Thought I would share it with you all. I am off to try to make the best of this miserable, dreary and rainy day!
