Every designer was given a set to work with. I was given PK-637 Lisa Jean Halloween to use. This set has endless possibilities. I love that there is an extra arm that you can pose the witch in different ways. You could also use this as a "I'm sorry I have been such a witch lately" or something to that effect.
I started my image one late night after I came home from volunteering. It was one of those situations where I should of just walked away. I tried to save my poor little witch by using paint and flower soft for the hair. I just kinda slopped it on because I thought I wasn't going to use it. But when time got away from me I had to.
After I was done with the image I burned the edges and let it cool. Then I took a few more of the images from this set and stamped them on Shrinky Dinks and colored with my Prismacolored pencils. I wanted to get the witches legs into the cauldron which is how I came up with the idea to use Shrinky Dinks. I just love how the potion bottle came out! The amount of detail in such a small piece is amazing!! You will also see some guest appearances from the ghost and bat which are from PK-631 Halloween Minis & PK-630 Nikkity Knack Cat Gang.
This is what I came up with:
Now for the fun part! Each DT member along the way of the hop (see below for the full order of the hop) is giving away the stamp set that they used in their design!! How fun is that????? So if you just got here make sure to start at the beginning to leave comments on all of the posts to increase your chances of winning. We all pick our own winners so potentially you can win multiple times!! YIPPEE!!
All you have to do to win the set I am giving away is leave a comment on this post. How about telling us what your favorite Halloween costume was growing up??? The only ones I really remember were the ones my Mom made me. OMG..one year I was Wonder Woman and she had this star wallpaper that she wrapped around my boots, wrists and even made me a head piece. Then one year I was Raggedy Ann and I wore a red mop on my head...I loved it! I remember coming home with our sacks full of candy and all of us siblings would sit around a circle and barter & trade what we wanted and didn't want....How grand childhood is!
You have until October 4th to leave a comment to be eligible. I will then pick a winner and post it on my blog. If you do not contact me in one week I will have to give the prize away to another lucky person.

I love your card! My favorite costume was when I was a hippie. I made my wig using a cut off piece of my mom's pantyhose and sewed long strands of brown yarn to it to create a long haired wig! I was so proud of myself! Thanks for the chance to win!

Cute card. I too was covered up in that awful rain. almost two feet in my yard. Had to swim to my car. Not fun.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great card- I love all of the new stamps! My favorite Halloween costumes as a child consisted of whatever clothing my mother no longer wanted and I based my character on what kind of outfit I could put together. The best part was being allowed to wear her makeup, kandrewsny@yahoo.com
ReplyDeleteAdorable card!!! Just too cute. Gosh I am trying to remember any of my costumes growing up. Too long ago LOL Seems like maybe a ghost with the white sheet...but I can't honestly say.
ReplyDeleteSuch a fun and spooky card! I remember being Casper the ghost, it was my favorite at the time!
ReplyDeleteYour witch has to be the cutest one of all! Love the details you put on her! My fav Halloween costume is a punk rocker. It gave me the opportunity to look "bad" because I was Miss Goody Two Shoes! LOL! Thanks for the opp!
ReplyDeleteMy FAV halloween costume as a child, was when I dressed up as a "mom." I had an apron, a kerchief on my head, a baby doll in one arm, and a rolling pin in another! LOL good time!

ReplyDeleteI don't remember a lot about my costumes except those awful plastic masks I tried to breathe through. Maybe that's why I'm a little claustrophobic today! LOL I would love a chance to win these stamps
