When Jessica from
SVG ATTIC released this set we all thought it would be fun to all do the same set to show our different takes on the same thing. This has to be one of my best loved sets from
SVG ATTIC. Even some of her customers are joining in on the fun!!
Let me tell you, I had soooo many ideas because there is so much to do with this set. I mean come on...how fun is this??? When I started this project it was my anniversary and instantly thought of my Market Fresh Kit from
Market Street stamps and decided to pair it up with the bird house file from the
Welcome Spring set. The kit came with a LOVE bird stamp which fit just perfectly. If you don't know yet, the bird house is a box and the lid comes off. I am going to make a mini album of my husband and I to put inside. I didn't get to finish that part yet so I haven't included pictures but stay tuned I hopefully will get it done soon and share it with you all.
I just adore how this came out. I really have to give a shout out to
Stephanie who put this great kit together. I am color challenged and waste so much time trying to match up papers and such. But with the talent from
Jessica and
Stephanie I was able to make a treasured item that I will proudly display. Thank you ladies!!! MWAH! Without further ado, here is my project that I came up with.
I put the letter B for the first letter of my last name since it was our "house" LOL
I wanted to make a shingle roof and OMG these papers fit perfectly!!!
The ribbons on the top (very top) and bottom are from My Mind's Eye.The one along the trim of the top was included in the kit. I also trimmed the house out with some twine from My Mind's Eye. To distress all the edges I used Tim Holtz's Vintage Photo and Stampin' UP! Basic Grey on the roof.
Another view of the house. The twigs...well I have to laugh about those. Who has painted twigs on hand?? I do!!! It was part of another project that I didn't finish and I broke them and threw them out. When I was doing this project I looked down into my pail and said...HEy I could use those! This is why I hate throwing anything out!!
Now hop on over to
Bunny's blog to see what crafty creations she came up with!
