I am a stay at home mom..now that is! February 19th, 2007 I was involved in a car accident while on vacation in Florida. I awoke in ICU to find out that my only two children Annemarie age 3 and Michael age 5 did not make it. Scrapbooking became such a big part of my life. It helped fill a void that I desperately needed to fill. Our therapist suggested that I take up scrapbooking as a way to memorialize my children, little did she know! So I took that and ran with it.I became obsessed with scrapping and took over the second largest room in my house. Because of my injuries I couldn't go out and get a job, I just scrapped!I printed out 2,000 photos and my journey began. I have made albums for family members and layouts to decorate my craft room. We thought we were done having kids but who expected this tragedy??? I just gave birth in June 2009 to two beautiful baby girls Mia Anne and Gianna Marie named after their brother and sister.I swore that I would keep up with their albums so I won't become overwhelmed so we will see how that works out! My profile picture is the last family picture that was taken of all of us.

Peachy Keen Challenge #30







This week has totally gotten away from me!! I have been so busy planning my girls first birthday party this weekend I haven't even realized what date it was!!!! I have been busy cooking for about 70-80 people and getting everything in order. For the challenge this week at Peachy Keen Stamps we had to make a shadowbox layout with a summer theme. I started this one awhile ago and it was completely different. Then of course me not realizing the time I had to go a different route.

The pictures are not the greatest but in person it is pretty neat. It has 3 different levels so things are at different dimensions. The frame is one of those free floating frames. I had cut out and stamped all of these images to put around it but I kept on going back to those adorable starfish stamps. I used PK-951 Animal Sea Creature stamp pack. I just can't get enough of these starfish....I just wanna squeeze them!

My project is simple but you know what I like it like that. Sometimes I have a habit of overdoing things.

    I just LOVE your shadow box with that lovely picture of Mikey. It's fantastic 'coz you can see through it! I've never seen one like that and it fascinates me. You are amazing my friend!

    Lisa, this is fabulous! I love that free floating effect! It's stunning, and very dramatic. You did a fabulous job. Oh, and I also love the sea weed, life preserver, and of course those adorable starfish.

    Lisa, I love your unique shadow box. I love the depth that it creates with the free floating frame. Ive never seen one like this before. I love the photo you choose, it is perfect and so darling! The way you did the seaweed and starfish is adorable framing the photo! Beautiful job!!!
