About Me

My photo
Carlisle, Pennsylvania
I am a stay at home mom..now that is! February 19th, 2007 I was involved in a car accident while on vacation in Florida. I awoke in ICU to find out that my only two children Annemarie age 3 and Michael age 5 did not make it. Scrapbooking became such a big part of my life. It helped fill a void that I desperately needed to fill. Our therapist suggested that I take up scrapbooking as a way to memorialize my children, little did she know! So I took that and ran with it.I became obsessed with scrapping and took over the second largest room in my house. Because of my injuries I couldn't go out and get a job, I just scrapped!I printed out 2,000 photos and my journey began. I have made albums for family members and layouts to decorate my craft room. We thought we were done having kids but who expected this tragedy??? I just gave birth in June 2009 to two beautiful baby girls Mia Anne and Gianna Marie named after their brother and sister.I swore that I would keep up with their albums so I won't become overwhelmed so we will see how that works out! My profile picture is the last family picture that was taken of all of us.

Today we are showcasing the Happy Thoughts stamp set.

Here's my project I've created for you...

I have been on a kick to use up all of my scraps, which is one of the many reasons why I love the new CDD dies.  I took a strip of scrap cardstock and cut it down to size.  I scored it in half to make the base of my treat topper.  Next I put the smaller banner up to the score line and ran it through only up to the score line which gave me the banner shape to the bottom of my topper.  Next I took the oval and centered it, leaving half of the oval above the score line.  I lined up my top plate for my Cuttlebug up to the score line (over half of the oval die) and ran it through again only half way.  Be careful not to run past the scoreline so it doesn't cut the complete shape.  Doing this gave me the oval that popped out of the top.

I am not explaining it the best so I really should do a picture tutorial.  I used the new Banner dies on this as well as the soon to be released stamp set Happy Thoughts.  I also added in the Baked With Love stamp set.  My little treat holder contains some Gluten Free Key-Lime and White Chocolate cookies for my mail lady.  A cute little way to let people know they are appreciated!
