About Me

My photo
Carlisle, Pennsylvania
I am a stay at home mom..now that is! February 19th, 2007 I was involved in a car accident while on vacation in Florida. I awoke in ICU to find out that my only two children Annemarie age 3 and Michael age 5 did not make it. Scrapbooking became such a big part of my life. It helped fill a void that I desperately needed to fill. Our therapist suggested that I take up scrapbooking as a way to memorialize my children, little did she know! So I took that and ran with it.I became obsessed with scrapping and took over the second largest room in my house. Because of my injuries I couldn't go out and get a job, I just scrapped!I printed out 2,000 photos and my journey began. I have made albums for family members and layouts to decorate my craft room. We thought we were done having kids but who expected this tragedy??? I just gave birth in June 2009 to two beautiful baby girls Mia Anne and Gianna Marie named after their brother and sister.I swore that I would keep up with their albums so I won't become overwhelmed so we will see how that works out! My profile picture is the last family picture that was taken of all of us.

A new Sisterhood Challenge and new CDD stamp release sneak peeks!

Hey y'all! It's time for another new challenge over at the Sisterhood of Crafters and a new stamp release over at Craftin' Desert Divas!!

The new challenge over at the Sisterhood of Crafters has a "FALL COLORS" theme.  I always wanted to try a starburst card and I finally did!! Here is my very first Starburst card using some scraps from all my Fall projects I have been doing.  The paper I used is by Authentique.  I broke out my embossing heat gun this week!! Haven't played with that in awhile and I actually got to use it on a few projects I will sharing with you shortly. I hope you play along with us and show us what you create with our Fall Color theme!

Today I am also showing some sneak peeks of the new stamp set from Craftin' Desert Divas called "Let's get Stuffed". I love this one!! The minute I saw this stamp set I saw soo many possibilities!  I made like 6 projects from just this stamp set so far and I'm still going!!

I wanted to make a bunch of tags that could be used to dress up some baked goods or a small gift. I made three different styled tags, all with the same main image which I love.....the corn. It is just one of the many cute stamps on this set. I wanted to keep it clean and simple. I think I made about 30 total. Some simple and elegant and some bright and colorful. I love to color but I wanted to show some projects in a different ways for the times when you can't color or you just don't have the supplies

The THANK YOU sentiment I used is from the SAY IT BIG stamp set.

The Happy Fall is also from the new set. The color looks really bright yellow but in person it is more of a mustard color.

On this last one I decided to color the corn with my markers and then topped it off with some Glossy Accents. The SO GRATEFUL sentiment is from Simply Said. Super fun and easy as well as elegant. You can really have some fun with this stamp set. I can't wait to show you the rest of my projects I made using this set. Did I mention I LOVE FALL??? Lol

If you want to see the rest of the DT's projects you can go to the CDD blog by clicking here. Each day a new stamp set will be showcased, and then the full reveal and blog hop this weekend. Don't forget to pop back on in for some more crafty fun!

Okay folks that's all for today.  I hope you all have a wonderful day full of blessings and love...and of course some crafting time!
