About Me

My photo
Carlisle, Pennsylvania
I am a stay at home mom..now that is! February 19th, 2007 I was involved in a car accident while on vacation in Florida. I awoke in ICU to find out that my only two children Annemarie age 3 and Michael age 5 did not make it. Scrapbooking became such a big part of my life. It helped fill a void that I desperately needed to fill. Our therapist suggested that I take up scrapbooking as a way to memorialize my children, little did she know! So I took that and ran with it.I became obsessed with scrapping and took over the second largest room in my house. Because of my injuries I couldn't go out and get a job, I just scrapped!I printed out 2,000 photos and my journey began. I have made albums for family members and layouts to decorate my craft room. We thought we were done having kids but who expected this tragedy??? I just gave birth in June 2009 to two beautiful baby girls Mia Anne and Gianna Marie named after their brother and sister.I swore that I would keep up with their albums so I won't become overwhelmed so we will see how that works out! My profile picture is the last family picture that was taken of all of us.

Peachy Keen's "BE THANKFUL" blog hop

Hello everyone!  Welcome to this stop on the PKS Be Thankful Blog hop.  I hope you are having fun so far looking at all the amazing creations by the current and Alumni PKS Design team members.  If you came here from the ever so talented Vivienne's  blog then you are right on track.  If not click HERE to start at the beginning.  Trust me, you don't want to miss anything.  What is a blog hop without prizes.... Three lucky winners have the chance to win a $50 gift certificate to the Peachy Keen store.  You have until Sunday the 11th to leave a comment on all the stops on the blog.  It is important to leave comments on every blog because the winners will be chosen randomly from all the designers (past and Present).

I bought this little paper mache recipe box from Hobby Lobby.  It was $3 which I thought was a great price, but then I went up to the register and found out it was half off...that's even better!!  For under $4 and some little elbow grease I made a cute little gift for someone.  And that someone was ME! LOL Since food is such a big deal on Thanksgiving as is certain recipes I decided to make a special box to keep them in. And one day hand them down to one of my girls.  Now it doesn't have to be used as Thanksgiving themed but I thought I would use it as that. I used last month's PKS October 2012 Stamp of the month kit.  Oh my this kit has soooo many possibilities!  I never saw a cuter turkey!

I also whipped these up using the same October SOTM kit.  I got these bags from the dollar store and wrapped some assorted Hershey Nuggets in DP.  I kept it simple since I was making so many but these will be used instead of place cards on Thanksgiving.  One will be at each plate setting.  Almost like a little favor, I thought a cute way to say "Thanks!".

I could of kept on going making things with just this one kit but I had to stop myself.  If you don't have this kit, get it you won't be disappointed! TRUST ME...lol

Now hop on over to HEATHER's blog and see what eye candy she has for you.  Such a brilliant and clever idea!!

I hope you all have a wonderful time enjoying each other and making new memories. I just spent 3.5 hrs going through your whole blog (again) The twins are getting so big, wow and so adorable. I do think of you and your story often Lisa, and I say a prayer. I still miss our nephew who was killed suddenly in a land slide at the age of nine, he would be turning 28 next month. Gone...but forgotten....always making lemonade :0) hugs
