About Me

My photo
Carlisle, Pennsylvania
I am a stay at home mom..now that is! February 19th, 2007 I was involved in a car accident while on vacation in Florida. I awoke in ICU to find out that my only two children Annemarie age 3 and Michael age 5 did not make it. Scrapbooking became such a big part of my life. It helped fill a void that I desperately needed to fill. Our therapist suggested that I take up scrapbooking as a way to memorialize my children, little did she know! So I took that and ran with it.I became obsessed with scrapping and took over the second largest room in my house. Because of my injuries I couldn't go out and get a job, I just scrapped!I printed out 2,000 photos and my journey began. I have made albums for family members and layouts to decorate my craft room. We thought we were done having kids but who expected this tragedy??? I just gave birth in June 2009 to two beautiful baby girls Mia Anne and Gianna Marie named after their brother and sister.I swore that I would keep up with their albums so I won't become overwhelmed so we will see how that works out! My profile picture is the last family picture that was taken of all of us.

Totally awesome........

Good morning! I wanted to pop on here to share with you my adorable surfer "dude" taking advantage of his last days of summer.  I used to be into very dull, neutral tones but now I am loving these bright colors!

To create this card  I cut out my top card base using the CRAZY STITCHED FRAME die. Even though it is subtle in this card I liked how it gave it a bit of detail around the edge. I used ISLAND PARADISE for my little Surfer and his rad surfboard.  To create the waves I actually used the opposite side of the STITCHED SCALLOP die so they would be facing in the direction he was surfing. I grabbed the opposite side from the cut and since I hate wasting things, I added it to the bottom edge of the card. CDD does carry a wave die in their OUTDOOR LANDSCAPE die set but the water was facing the opposite direction then what I needed it to. Plus I love the double stitching on the Scallop dies, it gives it an extra little "POP"! Finally to make the card "TOTALLY AWESOME" I used the GREETING WORD dies and cut it out in several layers so it stood out some.

Thank you for stopping by today~!

Sadly with this card I am saying goodbye to my last "summer" card, with that said WAIT TO YOU SEE THE ADORABLE (and I mean ADORABLE) fall/winter stamps coming out soon.  I am tickled pink especially since Fall is my favorite season of the year!

HAPPY CRAFTING!

Blessed to have you.........

Good morning! I wanted to pop on here to share with you a shaker card that I made with some of my CDD products.  This is a perfect card to have in your stash.

I was going for a CAS card of sorts which is usually hard for me, however I am happy how this one came out.  I started with the PICTURE FRAME die to make the card base. Next I used the SHAKER TAG DIES to make the shaker tag in the middle.

I wanted to use the SCRIBBLE CIRCLE dies as my center and turn that into the shaker window so I had to free hand the cut out with my Xacto knife.  I did two layers on the Scribble circle so it would have a base underneath. I turned this into my shaker window and added some of those gorgeous flowers from the BOTANICAL LAYERS stamp set and popped them up a bit with some foam tape. This was the first time I used my INKTENSE pencils.  I love them but need to learn how to use them.  I finished the card off by adding the BLESSED sentiment from the GREETING WORD dies, and a flag banner from the FLAG BANNER dies stamped with a sentiment from the coordinating TINY SENTIMENT stamp set. This is the type of card you can mass produce while using up some of your scraps!

Thank you for stopping by my Blog today and for taking a moment out of your busy day and sharing it with me.

Have a great day!
HAPPY CRAFTING!
