About Me

My photo
Carlisle, Pennsylvania
I am a stay at home mom..now that is! February 19th, 2007 I was involved in a car accident while on vacation in Florida. I awoke in ICU to find out that my only two children Annemarie age 3 and Michael age 5 did not make it. Scrapbooking became such a big part of my life. It helped fill a void that I desperately needed to fill. Our therapist suggested that I take up scrapbooking as a way to memorialize my children, little did she know! So I took that and ran with it.I became obsessed with scrapping and took over the second largest room in my house. Because of my injuries I couldn't go out and get a job, I just scrapped!I printed out 2,000 photos and my journey began. I have made albums for family members and layouts to decorate my craft room. We thought we were done having kids but who expected this tragedy??? I just gave birth in June 2009 to two beautiful baby girls Mia Anne and Gianna Marie named after their brother and sister.I swore that I would keep up with their albums so I won't become overwhelmed so we will see how that works out! My profile picture is the last family picture that was taken of all of us.

Aged to Perfection

Good morning everyone!  Today is my turn to share a project I made on the Craftin' Desert Divas blog.

I wanted to make this for the longest time.  The first time I saw this sentiment the first thing that popped into my head was wine! lol So I made this wine shaped gift box and the Aged to Perfection sentiment from Bring on the Cake which you can find HERE. The Wine bottle gift box is from Perfect Picnic which I got from SVG Attic. I tried to find it on the website to give you the direct link but for some reason I couldn't locate it.

I used two different colored Stickles to make the grapes above the sentiment on the label.  To add some shading I used my Spectrum Noir markers.

You can add anything really to the inside of this gift box, but a little bottle of wine would fit perfectly.

Here is a close-up of the sentiment.

Here is a picture of the complete stamp set.  Isn't it a wonderful set for birthday cards?? And truthfully there are several different occasions you could use this set for.  Just a super fun set to have.

Have a wonderful day! Happy Crafting!

  1. Your wine bottle is wonderful! I was going to invite you to share it on our SVG Attic FB page, but, like you said apparently it isn't in the store right now. Mike is working on re designing all of the older SVG Attic files so they will be compatible with the Cricut Design studio and is taking them off a few at a time so he can work on them. Love seeing this file in action though :)
